This is

as days pass by, by Stuart Langridge

. Here I write about many things. In the past I wrote about other things but the past is past. I write code for people to play with, I write about my life on Twitter, and I write here.

On I wrote End of an era, on the subject of Musings.

Referring to the decree made in this cause on the 21st September 2010, whereby it was decreed that the marriage solemnised on the 3rd May 1998.

at The Maids Head Hotel, Tombland, Norwich in the District of Norwich, in the County of Norfolk.

between Samantha Elaine Langridge the Petitioner

and Stuart Ian Langridge the Respondent

be dissolved unless sufficient cause be shown to the court within six weeks from the making thereof why the said decree should not be made absolute, and no such cause having been shown, it is hereby certified that the said decree was on the 20th January 2011, made final and absolute and that the said marriage was hereby dissolved.

I didn't expect to feel quite this sad.

Roberto

Hey, Stu.

I've been reading your blog for what now -- 7 years? It's been a long time time reading about Python, Vellum, Linux and other stuff. Sorry to hear about your marriage. The sad thing about life is that good things pass, but hey, bad things pass too.

Take care, and I'll buy you a beer if we ever meet in Brazil or UK.

Best,

--Rob

Derek Weber

Henrique Rodrigues

GiacomoL

All the best, man.

Philip

Try not to think of it as the end of an era, but the beginning of a new one. Also, just think, you're now free to make the same mistakes all over again! :D

Jollies aside and having been through it myself, I can really appreciate how sobering that piece of paper is. Chin up.

mrben

I'm not surprised it makes you feel sad - hell, it makes _me_ sad, and I've never even met your ex-wife. Will be thinking of you today. *more hugs*

Matthew Revell

Hey, hope you're okay man. It's been too long. When are you around for beer?

Mikkel Kamstrup Erlandsen

Sincerely sorry to hear that. Stay strong!

Aldo Nogueira

I've been through this and I will not lie: it sucks a lot. But the good news is that you survive and is even able to smile again after a while. Be strong, man.

Sumana Harihareswara

My condolences, Stuart. Here's hoping everything comes out amicable, at least.

Adrian Steele

I'm a long time follower of you and Jono since lugradio days, v sorry to hear of this Stu. Chin up.

Adam Sweet

Really sorry to hear it man. You are hereby invited for pancakes on Jif Lemon day if you need somewhere to park your plate. Don't be too downhearted, the world is a warmer place when you're laughing at one of Jono's misguided proclamations or one of my mis-pronunciations. We should go for a beer if you have plans to be in the area any time soon, I have plenty to tell you in any case.

Timothy Kross

I'm sorry to hear that. Be strong my friend. Death Metal can be very consoling (at least it has that effect on me).

Alan Pope

*hugs*

No idea what this feels like, but it's clearly crap. Sorry dude. Holding up a pint in your honour now. *clink*

Ronaldo

Been reading your blog for ages. Sorry to hear that, and here's hoping for the best to come.

James

Hey Stuart

I've been following you for years now. I remember when you mentioned your marriage a few times a long, long time ago. Your pancake day post and the like.
