I usually use gedit for my script-writing purposes - it has syntax highlighting and everything... Badum-friggin-TISCH.
You're looking for Celtx. I've tried to use it before, nothing extensive though. I liked what I had seen when I used it though.
You should also give a look to Scenari:

I use Celtx, and I would recommend it - it's based on Gecko (Firefox) and is open source.

For scripts I use emacs, it a hundred times better than vi.

Used a good bit of script writing software at uni - Final Draft.
Is only avalible for Windows or Mac, but it is very good.
