Not science

Breaking the recent dearth of posts (sorry, I’ve been busy), just to say:

The Government is clear that creationism and intelligent design are not part of the science National Curriculum programmes of study and should not be taught as science.

Well done, Number 10. Also, looks like the Prime Minister’s Petitions site works.

  1. Excellent news. I’m glad to hear that the battle is being won in the UK, we’re still struggling in the US.

  2. Oy! Creationism / Intelligent Design not science? The government agrees? LoL LoL [excuse me, must get back into chair]. Lads, if the government agrees with you, you had better re-examine your conclusion. Haven’t you lads heard of the [largest known] oxymoron? Government intelligence!

Here’s a thought: Which takes more faith?

    (1) To believe that we all just accidentally popped into existence during the Pre-Cambrian era.

Or (2), an intelligent being created us with just the right planetary arrangement to sustain life indefinitely and provide an endless source of wonder to the more curious among us?

Call me old-fashioned but I’d rather be an intentional design instead of just another cosmic accident.

    Cheers. ;-)
