I've definitely seen issues with Gmail the past few days. Very sluggish or completely unresponsive at times. It's definitely not my connection as other sites still perform well.

I couldn't access my Gmail account for a whole day last month, it's my primary email account and was a bit of a nightmare as I was expecting a number of important emails. I had to seriously consider switching to another email service. I didn't but may if something like this happens again.

At my school, they brought in a massive filter, and it blocked google and every other search engine for a few days. This brought enormous panic to everyone. Thats just a school based thing, so i guess it would be pretty bad if google went down.
