Jackfield talk at Skycon

As mentioned in these pages before, the LugRadio team are going to SkyCon in Limerick, Eire on February 16th-18th 2007. They asked me to do a talk, as also mentioned, and after polling my gentle readers I’ve decided that the most interest is in Jackfield. So, if you’re interested in Jackfield, try and get along to Limerick next month.

This does also mean that I’ll carve out some time to fix the D-Bus stuff and generally do some more work on the project, which should make some people happy!

  3. Yes very happy :) Will you be working with RYX on screenlets for Beryl/Compiz?? I red some where that you couldn’t get beryl to work because you have an ATI graphic card! what card is it? stop by beryl-project.org forums and someone there might help you with that. I have an ATI card and managed to get beryl working…

  6. Can you report about your talk when you find time please ?
    And more importantly about the progress of Jackfield. The whole thing is so exciting i mean..
    Btw, I’ve heard there was a Google Widgets/Yahoo Widgets converter in the wild.
    That could save you implementing support for Google widgets in a first time.

    Jackfield doesn’t work under arch linux (voodoo) because it use python2.5..

  12. hey,……i have been looking for jackfield quite for long now,,,,,I want to know of the latest updates..

    Is there a mailing list or somethin???

    my suggestion is that you should cntact GNOME project about it….as KDE already has superkaramba, GNOME will be happy to accept jackfield as a part of it…

    this will also increase devwlopment effort on jackfiled & we would hav a fully working version wuite soon….
