Search my feeds in Google Reader

Why can’t I search for something only in my feeds in Google Reader? Why? Why is this not possible? I never ever want to search the whole web from a feed reader. I want to search my feeds for something I read a while back all the time. Why can’t I do it? Aargh!

  1. Exactly! This bizzare omission has been bothering me for ever. For that matter, why is it so hard to subscribe to something immediately–why do I have to “preview” it first? I just want to subscribe to a feed in the future–I don’t care what it looks like now. There should be a “subscribe” button that actually performs that action.

For that matter, does anyone actually use this “search for new content” feature? I already have plenty of feeds in Reader–I’d prefer a way to filter the feeds that I already have to a way to search for more.
