My comments pages now remember who you are, and when they remember they take away the author and URL boxes and just say “you are [whoever]“, with a “Forget me” button. I have completely ripped this idea off from Ronaldo because it’s fabulous. Nice one Ronaldo.
That would be Roberto. ;-) I’m using a plain MovableType install.

Buggeration! Stupid fingers. I was thinking Roberto, I promise, even as my treacherous and betraying digits were typing “Ronaldo” :)

Well, Roberto will probably forgive you. :-P Anyway, the feature is really cool.

I like it, I must admit. It’s all part of my massive master plan to add new features here :)

Ronaldo, Roberto (Carlos), they’re all great football players, so I forgive you. :)

Ha! Never thought about the footballers thing.
Did I tell you the Roberto Carlos joke?
Scotland are playing Brazil, first round of the World Cup. There’s a big problem with the Brazilian plane; it has to put down in the wrong airport to get fixed, and the whole Brazilian team don’t make it to the match, except Roberto Carlos who was on holiday and so was on a different plane. So the Brazilian team are all crowded round a television in an airport somewhere watching the game: all eleven Scots run out, and they’re faced by Roberto Carlos. On his own. Just him, no-one else. The game starts, and after eight minutes later Carlos does a beautiful run and scores! Scotland 0, Brazil 1. After eleven minutes, tragedy: the television cuts off as there’s a power cut in the airport. The Brazilian team are frantic to know what happened; eventually the plane takes off again, and they’re reunited with their team member. Roberto Carlos is gutted when they catch up with him, full of apologies. “I’m really sorry, lads,” he says, “but we lost 2-1“. Everyone is full of consolation: “don’t worry, Roberto,” they say, “it was only you! You scored after eight minutes! We can’t ask more of you than that!”
Roberto Carlos says, “yeah, but I got sent off in minute 12.”
Heh. heh, heh. :)
