I spent most of the last decade honing my ability to absorb complexity and detail and translate that complexity into working programs.

I’m spending this decade trying to make that premise seem ridiculous, at least on the platform I can influence.—Don Box on usability

I'm a bit suspicious of this idea - it seems likely to try and make things too simple, don't you think?

Oh, I think that it's an unachievable goal, certainly. Some things are inherently complicated, and no flashy interface on them will help. But there is so, so, so much that could be fixed, and so much that is easy but is made complex by computers. Don's point is the ultimate (and unreachable) goal, not somewhere he expects to get to by 2005 or anything, I think :)
