Syndication and pings

It occurs to me that most of the time I forget to manually ping blo.gs when I write something, and I never got around to having it do it for me. Does anyone care any more? Or does everyone just poll RSS feeds these days?

  1. I still use blo.gs - I’ve still never found an aggregator that works like I want it to.

  2. I use blo.gs and it powers my blogroll … so I don’t realise you’ve posted until you do manually ping blo.gs and I realise there’s a whole page of posts I’ve missed out on!

I prefer to read things on the original page, in their original context. Adds a little colour to my day and makes me look less of a slacker at work ;-)

  3. Ah, manual pinging — so that explains why sometimes there a loads of posts I’ve not read. Yes, I use blo.gs because, as Meri said, I enjoy visiting peoples’ sites rather than having everything look the same in an aggregator.

  4. Use blo.gs, since I currently don’t see any sites that don’t use it :-)
