It is important that, in spite of all the truly insane accusations that the writers at jaguaro.org are fans of such groups/singers at Britney, the Backstreet Boys, NSync, Whitney Houston, Michael Bolton or Kenny G, the reality is that with they would never even excuse any music ever played on commercial radio beyond the heyday of AC/DC.

Beyong the "punk revolution", they believe all commercial music, indeed all major label releases, to be worthless.

However, this view is by no means unique or even original. It has been promoted by indie-rock webzines for a long time now, but has only been more widely accessible in recent years.

41, yes I do (did) spend too much on cd's and records. But in my defence many of them I haven't listened to for many years and I am currently digging out some dinosaur jr to have a retro fest ;-)

4, and I think I own a few more CDs than you. Although to be fair there were a lot of near misses (e.g. U2's greatest hits), and I have a slight completest tendancy which means lots by the same people: I'm sure the complete oeuvre of Lawnmower Deth (3 CDs) is not something to boast about. Incidentally we share Nevermind and What's the story. You must have missed the Radiohead one as I can't believe you don't have it.

Don't have the Radiohead album, because Radiohead are shit. :-)
I have got rid of some of these since this was posted, although not all of them -- I like Blood Sugar Sex Magik, and I don't care if it's a vanity archive, it's good. What's The Story has gone the way of all flesh, however, as have a couple of others, and I can't find the Miles Davis one anywhere...

We are starting to send some the way of eBay. Someone paid money for the Eels. Hopefully they'll bite on Soundgarden and Eagle Eye Cherry singles. Anyway, Since when did liking music mean anything? Did you learn nothing from 3 years around musos at college?
