Simon Willison and I have been discussing Pingback, a better alternative to Movable Type's TrackBack. I mooted the idea before, and we're now working on implementations. Simon's been working on a standalone XML-RPC server that can receive and catalogue Pingback pings, and I have now hacked Pingback server functionality into Movable Type! Sort of. I'm still working on it; code when it's actually *done* :-)
