And this is IsapiRewrite: mod_rewrite for IIS, written , and concerning Uncategorized

Hooray! ISAPI_Rewrite - URL Rewrite engine for IIS seems pretty good to me; implements Apache's mod_rewrite syntax (sort of), works fine. It's always really, really annoyed me that IIS doesn't do this by default, and since I'm stuck with IIS at work (until the OpenSA guys get SSIs working in ASP, at least, then I can have Apache/Win32!), this will make things much easier to bear. I still hate IIS, just now I hate it a little less. Oh, did I mention: free? Hoorah. Only as-in-beer, but I don't mind that too much, because I'm on a Windows platform anyway...

Assuming that your comment isn’t just spam or shameless self-promotion, Steven, how is your mod_rewrite cheaper? ISAPI_Rewrite is free, your port of m_r isn’t.

Steven

I found a cheaper and easier to install solution. mod_rewrite from iismods.com

free? 30 days maybe, got a serial?

Another Stephen

Steven. Do you know how to use the serial number provided by the IISMods company? I bought the product and it does not tell where to place the serial…no reply from IISMods folks after many attempts to reach them.

Steven

If you have purchased IISMods Rewrite .DLL and cannot figure out how to get the registered version to work, here is the registry file format to get it working (i.e. disable its 200 URL limit)...of course you will have to purchase the product to get your serial number. I posted this here as the information does not seem to be in the documentation and the folks at IISMods are unresponsive to e-mails.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IISMods\Mod_Rewrite]
“Name“=“YOUR REGISTRATION NAME
“Serial“=“YOUR SERIAL NUMBER”—- above here only—-

Didn’t work for me.

Geeze, here it is 2 1/2 years later and iismods still hasn’t documented what to do with the serial number, and still isn’t responding to emails.
