King of Hell, Part 13

Sudden pain hit Belgarath. And then Astaroth was there. Furious and still he looked little frighten.

" HAVEN'T YOU TEACH YOUR GREAT GRANDSON TO USE HIS POWERS."

Belgarath looked Astaroth for a while before answering." We teach him all what he need to know."

" DIDN'T YOU TEACH HIM ABOUT ORB."

"Only that be careful using it. It has peculiar mind. Shouldn't let it lead you. That we teach him."

" IF SO, IS HE MENTALLY LIMITED?"

" Why don't you ask straigth what you want to know. It would be much easier. And no, there isn't nothing mentally wrong with him."

" HE WAS VERY CLOSE TO DESTROY EVERYTHING. BY RELEASING POWER OF ORB AGAINST ME."

" Did he release Orbs all powers?" Even Belgarath looked little startled." What did you do before that?"

" I ASK HIM TO GIVE THAT ORB BEFORE I MAKE HIS FAMILY SUFFER. AND HE RELEASED ORBS POWER AGAINST ME. IF I HAVE RESPOND TO THAT POWER, EVEN PROTECT ME, POSSIBLE WHOLE UNIVERSE COULD HAVE BEEN DESTROYED."

Belgarath looked little amused." You thread him with only thing what could make man do crazy things. You thread his family. You have spend too much time with your deamons, Astaroth. You have lost your touch to human mind. Whatever you do, don't ever go thread mans family front of him, if he has possibility to answer that thread. That's a free advice, only because I hate to see universe destroyed, even if it means your destruction too." Belgarath said and start to laugh. It ended short, because pain hit him. It was almost too much. His mind burned with fire of pain, which comes from every part of his body.

" DO NOT MOCK ME BELGARATH. YOU ARE NOT IN THE POSITION DO THAT. I COULD KILL YOU ANY MOMENT, IF I WANT TO. SO YOU BETTER LOOK WHAT YOU SAY."

"Then, why don't you kill me? You have thread me with that already. You have no intention to leave me alive, even if you get the Orb." Belgarath said between clenched teeth. for a second pain seems to increase. Then it stop.

"AS YOU WISH. SO SHALL IT BE."

Eriond was first one who wake up after Astaroth departure. He quickly check out that everyone else are alive and was suprise to notice that Garion wasn't with them. Where could have him go? Could Astaroth capture him too, if so, he has the Orb and everything is lost. Poledra and Polgara where next ones who woke up. Polgara looked around and asked from Eriond.

"Where is Garion?"

" I don't know. I was knocked unconscious too. He wasn't here when I woke up." Eriond answered.

"Could Astaroth capture him too?" Poledra asked.

" I don't think so. I don't think that we would be here, if Astaroth has get the Orb. " Eriond say. Same time Garion appeared. He went straight to Ce'Nedra and his children. He didn't seems to notice others before he see that Ce'Nedra and Geran and Beldaran was alive. " It was close." He said.

"What was close Garion?" Polgara asked.

" I almost destroyed everything. I released Orb against Astaroth, when he thread you. I didn't think what could happen, if he resist."Garion said.
"You're not making sense. Perhaps you should tell, what happen after Astaroth left." Eriond said.

"Perhaps I should, but it would be better if everyone is waken. And I need little time to straighten my thoughts. There is too much happened to one day." Then he turned his attention back to his family.

Gundred find her brother holding his girlfriend in his lap. His cloths were just rags around him.

" Is she alive?"Gundred asked.

Unrak looks up to his sister. He looked so worried that Gundred feared the worst before he answered. " She is well. She just fainted."

" You haven't told her?"

"No I haven't. How could I expect this happens? Geran suppose to be safe now." He answered

"People with power are never safe. You should know that. As a next Earl of Trellheim, you will have enemies, which will try to throw you off that place. Just like father has." Gundred criticized him.

" Yeah, I guess so. But how I'm going to tell her about this?"

"Oh no, You are not going to bring me into this. This is problem which you have created yourself." Gundred said and laughed little. " But I would tell the truth. You probably can't shock her more than you already have. And perhaps you should put new cloth on before she woke. It could scare her more to see you like that." After that Gundred left smiling, leaving Unrak to solve his own problems.

Two familiar looking hawks flew over Morindland, playing together, when something on ground caught other hawks attention. When has that gate appeared there and what is happening there. They mover lower to look. There was Demon Lord standing near the gate observing when lesser deamons and imps come through that gate. What is happening here, hawk with blue in his feathers wondered. How could this happen? Who has enough power to create gate to hell. He have to tell this to someone. Beldin send his thought toward the Vale.
